Significantterritory Heating & Air does not have technicians. When you reach out, you are connected with an independent HVAC provider in our network. That provider is a separate local business. They answer your questions, schedule a visit if you want one, and do any work you approve.

What Happens on the Call

The call is simple. Say what the system is doing. Mention the type of home, the age of the unit if you know it, and any noises or smells. The provider may ask a few questions to understand the problem. Then they will explain the next step, such as a visit to look at the system.

Availability varies by provider. Request a callback to check who can respond, and ask how soon they can come out.

What to Ask a Provider

Good questions make for a good hire. Here are some to try:

• Are you licensed and insured in Texas?
• Is there a fee to come out, and does it apply to the repair?
• Will you give me a written quote before work starts?
• What are my options if the repair is costly?
• Does the work or the part come with a warranty, and what does it cover?

What a Good Answer Sounds Like

A solid answer is clear and specific. The provider names the problem, shows you the part if they can, and gives a price range in writing. They are fine with you taking time to decide.

Red Flags to Watch For

Be careful if someone pressures you to sign on the spot. Be careful if they will not put a quote in writing, ask for full payment up front, or say you must replace everything without explaining why. It is fine to say no and get a second opinion.
